error 1305 with doom3

hi,
i was trying to install DOOM 3 on my pc that runs xp professional but when the installation bar
reahced its end(about to finish installing) ,the following error appeard:"error1305.error reading from f:\setup\Data\Base\pak002.pk4.
verify that the file exists and that you can access it." the error window appeard with two options: "Retry" and "Cancel"..the Retry button didn't solve the problem
because the message has appeard again ...

i have:
-intel pentium 4 2.8 G.H.
-nVidia geforce4 MX 4000
-512 mb of RAM
-Realtek AC'97 Audio

i tried to install the game without autorun..but didn't work..
i also  read the troublshooting provided in this site,but nothing worked.. :-/

Before reinstalling Doom, completely remove it and clean your registry.

If this concerns a legal copy of Doom 3, have it exchanged for another copy to see if perhaps the copy is just flawed.
