AMI BIOS POST Test Code 85: Memory size check done

Whilst troubleshooting a PC that is failing to bootup, I received - via a POST diagnostic card - the AMI BIOS Post Test Code 85:

Memory size check done
About to display soft error and check for password or bypass setup

Can anyone shed any light on this error?

Welcome to the CH forums.

AFAIK that is not an error message just an advisory to show the progress of the POST.

Perhaps if you define the problem with the pc someone might be able to assist.
