Timer error.

Issue:

Timer error.

Cause:

This issue is experienced when the computer is first booting and can be caused by any of the below possibilities.

  1. Computer peripheral issue.
  2. Motherboard issue

If you are receiving a timer error in Windows or after the computer has booted it is likely that you are experiencing a software related issue and not the above possible causes.

Solution:

Computer peripheral issue

Being aware of ESD, temporarily remove any peripheral devices from within the computer. This can include, but is not limited to, the computer modem PCI/ISA card, sound card, and network card.

Motherboard issue

If, after removing any additional peripherals that are connected to the computer, you continue to experience the same issue, unfortunately it is likely that your motherboard may have issues and it is recommended it be serviced or replaced.
