Windows XP installation hangs on "Preparing Installation" screen.

Issue:

Cause:

This issue occurs when attempting to install Windows XP on a computer running Windows 95. Microsoft Windows 95 has limited support for the amount of pages that can be opened in a Wizard.

Solutions:

Cancel the setup for Windows XP and install any version of Microsoft Internet Explorer on the computer. Once completed, run the installation of Windows XP again.
