Anti-vibration mount
A
drive mount that holds a hard drive or other 3.5-inch
drive in place, keeping the drive protected and the computer quiet. When installing any 3.5-inch device in a 5.25-inch drive bay
make sure to use an anti-vibration mount.
In the picture to the right, is an example of what a hard
disk drive mount looks like. Many new hard disk drives will include a mount
similar to this in the included parts. If you purchased a hard drive without a
mount and the computer only has 5.25-inch bays, a universal mount can be
purchased at almost every computer store.
