Order may refer to any of the following:

Symbol representing a cycle.

1. An order is a request to do, make, supply, or deliver something. For example, a computer can be given orders using a command or instruction to open an application or save a document.

2. With shopping, an order is a customer's paid request to a company to provide them with a good or service. For example, when buying a computer part from an online store, you're ordering that part, which is called an online order. After the part is ordered, you likely get an e-mail indicating when the order has shipped, and a tracking number to track the shipment.

3. Order is how something is arranged, either by its relation or a characteristic. For example, a computer may list file names in alphabetical order (from A to Z) or chronological order (1950 to 2000). Other methods of ordering files may be with the file size, date modified, and file type.
