OSF

Short for Open Software Foundation, now known as the Open Group. This group is dedicated to creating new alternative operating systems based on the Unix operating system. The group was founded in 1988 by Apollo, Bull, Digital Equipment, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Nixdorf, and Siemens.
