Search key

The string that is being used as term being searched for. Commonly, when text is sent from a program to the script or search function, additional text is attached to help the script or program understand the data. For example, on the Computer Hope search engine, it would send the text 'computer help' as:

Search=Search&computer+help

The text 'computer help' is the search key in this search string.
