Windows Fax and Scan

Sometimes abbreviated as WFS, Windows Fax and Scan is a Microsoft program that comes with Windows. It lets you scan a page with a scanner and send faxes using a fax modem. Windows Fax and Scan was introduced with Windows Vista and replaced the Fax Console found in Windows XP. Below is an example of how the Windows Fax and Scan window appears when first opening the program.

Once in this window, click the "New Scan" to start scanning a new document or picture or "New Fax" to start a new fax.
