Badtrans trojan Virus
VIRUS INFORMATION
04/22/2001 - Badtrans is a mass mailing virus sent through e-mail and distributes itself by replying to unread e-mail.
SYMPTOMS
The Trojan if opened will save itself to the users hard disk drive and modify the computer registry. Once the computer is booted the next time the virus will send itself to other users by replying to unread e-mail. In addition the virus has the capability of sending the IP address to the virus author as well as capturing or stealing important information such as passwords, usernames and in some cases credit card and other personal data.
HOW TO DETECT VIRUS
The virus Sometimes containing the text "Take a look to the attachment" in the body of the message. The e-mail will have an attachment that is 13,312 bytes and my have one of the following names:

METHOD OF REMOVAL
It is recommended that the user obtain the latest update from the developer of your virus protection software to correct this virus and clean any corrupt or modified data.
