Try this.

Click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.

On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

nada...i open up wmp and it shows nothing in drive

Was this happening before the malware?

Can you get the CD to play by choosing it in WMP?

Go back into Device Manager and right click the drive and choose to Update it. See if that fixes it. If not try rolling it back.
