Cd Burner Question
« on: July 03, 2005, 08:43:32 PM »
Im thinking about buying a new cd burner because mine is so old and slow but I dont know if thats the best way to go because half of the cd's I burn turn out to be failures. I think it is due to my cd burner being a philips pcrw804 but I dont know.  My computer is a 400mhz Intel Celeron with 256 megs of ram and it runs windows xp service pack 1 fairly easy but my question is will my computer be able to handle a 52x/32x/52x cd burner burning at high speed? because i have so many problems burning at my burners maximum speed which is 8x.

You should not copy CDs at the maximum available speed with older CD-R/Ws.

This should not be a problem. Unless your operating environment is simply a mess.
