Battlefield2 Help, PLEASE!!!!

Hi, I have been trying to get this game to work for about a week now and still no luck. No one on the Battlefield 2 forums on Planet Battlefield has helped me, rarely responded to me. ANyways, Here is my problem. I try to start the game and the first Battlefield 2 splash screen comes up follow by a full black screen and then I am back at the desktop. Here are the system requirements for BF2
- Operating System
 Windows XP (32 Bit Version)

- CPU
 Battlefield 2 supports the following processors:
 Intel Pentium 4
 Intel Xeon
 Intel Pentium Extreme Edition
 Intel Celeron D
 AMD Athlon XP
 AMD Athlon 64
 AMD Athlon 64-FX
 AMD Sempron processor

- Minimum Specification:
 CPU: 1.7 Ghz
 RAM: 512 Mb
 Video Card: NVidia GeForce FX 5700, ATI Radeon 8500 or ATI Radeon 9500
           with 128 Mb of RAM

I am pretty sure my system meets the requirements.

AMD Athlon(m)XP 2400+
2.00 GHz
512 MB of Ram
GeForce FX 5700LE

Anyone have any idea? I really really wanna play this game.

Did you try EA Games tech. support? They are usually very helful... Also, is this a desktop or laptop? I have not heard of a NVIDIA GeForce 5700 LE... Why LE? The game does not say anything about that type... Also, what version of Direct X are you using?

.It is a desktop computer and I have tried the help desk, STILL have not gotten a reply. And I'm not sure what LE means, It is on the box listed as GeForce FX 5700LE Optima. Any Suggestions???

Also sorry, I am running Direct X 9.0c, thats what came with the game.

How long has it been since you contacted support? You need to give them 24-48 hours to reply... Let me research your issue and see if I can find anything...  :-/  No guarantee though...

Set the refresh rate of your monitor to 60 Hertz. Both in Windows and Battlefield 2.

Alot of problems have been had using the AMD and this game. Try calling ea, or they have a submit question thing as well

Hmm ok Ill look there again. Thanks for actually replying and helping though. And I did the thing about the 60 refresh rate. No luck   But i really appreciate the help.

Have you set the refresh rate for both Windows and BF2 to 60 Hertz? It is a known bug and I occasionally experience it as well with a 100Hertz monitor.

Yes I tried that. But I am trying something else. I heard that the drivers from the disk are not the updated ones. So I am going to download the 77.72 NVIDIA drivers from the website. Thanks for the tip though. Ill mess around with the resolution and refresh rate to see if I can come up with something. Although I did manage to finally get an error message when I tried one thing. But have not seem to get it again.

When i downloaded the game it asked me if i wanted to download the new nvidia drivers, did you accept that when it offered it?

Did not download the game   Bought it at my local Best Buy. And Im not sure on the error. Ill go see what it was.
