changing fonts
« on: July 23, 2005, 10:01:08 AM »
Help! I don't know how to change the font size AFTER I have written a long document - without going through it bit by bit.

I have written 30, 000 words for a self-publish book, but now  I notice that the publishers say that it will be printed EXACTLY
as received on the disc!

I have written the 30,000 words in 12point - but the disc has to be in 10 point.

I just can't find instructions for this anywhere!

What program are you using?

For most word processors (Assuming you're not using a Macintosh) it would be:

CTRL + A to select ALL the text in your document (May take a while with 30.000 words..)
CTRL + > to increase text size. (+1 or +2 points with each click)

And what program are you using?

My apology; it is actually the CTRL + . (dot) button to increase font size and CTRL + , (comma) to decrease font size.

This may only apply to Microsoft software such as Notepad, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etcetera.

You will have to reload the disk with the format/data  it contains.....and drag/drop.....copy it to the format you wrote it in.Or a folder....an adjust it from there?what program did you use.....for these files.....etc.. a decent publisher has the software to resize fonts/colours etc......
