    computer shuts off soon after start up

    my cpu will not stay on soon after powering up it shuts off. ihad a new HD and ram installed in hopes of resolving the problem to no avail. is this a hardware or software issue

      Check your startup folder, and make sure nothing suspicious is in it.
      Also try doing this in Safe Mode.
      Some iTunes library huh?

      if ur computer screen doesn't diasplay anything then there is problem with dust in RAM.
      May be there is possibility that ur computer configuration doesn't support the
      windows 7 or vista whatever you are using.
      before 1st of all check that the os which you use is genuine or not.its also possible that its happen due to any of these reason.

      Ignore the above post.

      Please describe your problem IN DETAIL. Also, did this just start? If so, what is different since the last time the system booted normally (new hw, sw, virus, error, etc)?

        thanx a lot everyone I found the problem. a loose screw on the cooling fan (wasn'tcooling the processor)
