This usually happens when an installation places an invalid entry in the registry. If you scroll down the Add/Remove window, you will probably see the other entries.
To fix the display of A/R, use REGEDIT and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Use "Find" to search for DisplayIcon.
If the value for one or more applications end in -1, change the 1 to a 0
Close REGEDIT
That should solve the display problem.
