Weird sound problem

I have had a weird sound problem for some time.  I can play music from Ares or Windows Media Player with no problem.  If I try to watch videos online, there is no sound.  That happens regardless of browser. 

I tried updating my Flash Player but that did nothing.

Try downloading and installing VLC media player (free) and see what happens.truenorth
