Downloading file
« on: July 07, 2005, 11:56:42 AM »
I have an interesting but perplexing problem.
When I try to download from one particular web site I get their notice “You have tried to access the download page directly OR your internet browser will not allow you to view this page.”  The company has advised that I lower my security settings, which are at medium.  I have tried lowering but get the same response.

I do not have this problem with any other downloads.

I am using XP with SP2 and Internet Explorer with SP2.  Also using Norton firewall, Pest Control, and Spy Sweeper.

It works for me so there's nothing wrong with the site.
Did you reset all the IE security to default?

Tell the company that you have default security settings and ask them for other recommendations.
