my keyboard is wonky

if i try to make a question mark the following symbol appears   É
i pressed shift button then question mark button.
what in the world is going onÉÉÉ
also i cannot make the `at` symbol.  instead i get this quotation mark ".
how is this happeningÉ
how do i fix itÉ
if i press the question mark button without pressing shift button at the same time, i get this symbol  é.
however, the oddest thing is that everything works properly on microsoft office.  so i have been writing question marks and "at" symbols there and then copying and pasting them to the internet wherever i need.
please help me fix this
it must have been some internet mode for my keyboard that was accidentally set.

ok i have found another interesting development:  my keyboard is only like this with mozilla firefox.  when i use normal internet explorer, the keyboard works normally.
I switched to a new internet explorer browser and everything works fine see??  @@@@  ;[],.<>#$%%
all the symbols work fine here, but not on firefox.

it looks like it was some weird glitch.  my keyboard seems to be working just fine now.  even on mozilla firefox.  thanks for all your help.  i dunno what in the WORLD happened but its fixed now, magically.

another thing to try in this case is to make sure your taskbar is set to "english usa"

How would that make different keys appear on different clients? 

Just try re-installing Firefox.

some of the keys (not letters or #) are in different places when you change the language.  If different clients have the language set differently, the keys would be different

Yeah to be fair I have made some stupid mistakes on settings.
