best spyware program

Can anyone give me advise on the best free spyware/malware program to run on my computer?

I don't want an anti-virus program, I already have one, I need to know a good spyware/maleware program

Sorry - lots of folks confuse the two and I thought you might have done so. The current best of breed are MalwareBytes and Super AntiSpyware.

Also, for passive protection I'd add SpywareBlaster

Yeah, MBAM and Super Anti-spyware are the standard recommendations for malware scans. I use free versions of both and they work well. Neither one has  caught anything yet in all this time, but I assume that's because my Antivir doesn't let any of the nasties in.
