System Prep. 3.14 Issue?
« on: March 26, 2010, 08:58:27 PM »
Last year I sent my laptop to Dell after the hard drive failed. It's an Inspiron 1420 with Windows Vista Home Premium. I received it, and upon turning it on I was logged into the "Administrator" account and given the System Prep. Tool prompt:

Not really knowing what I was doing, I simply logged out of the account and created my own. Since then I have continued to log out of this account and into my own account every time I reboot.

From that point on, whenever I restart/shut down the computer, it logs into this "Administrator" account upon start-up. How can I get rid of this account, or hide it, and make it so that my laptop will log into my own account upon start-up.

I'm afraid to use the system prep tool, because I think it might not work, or cause all my data to be wiped? But I'm honestly a complete n00b...
