    Will my Laptop work on this HDD?

    My Laptop is NEC Lavie LL750/B which I bought in 2002 from Japan. Because my Toshiba 2.5" 80GB HDD which came in my Laptop stopped functioning, I ordered the SAMSUNG HM160HC 160GB 2.5" IDE PATA HARD DRIVE HDD online . I am pretty sure that my Toshiba HDD is 2.5" and 44 pins but I just want you guys opinions;

      Yes it should be ok. Newer IDE PATA drives are backwards compatible so it should work, probably slower as is capable but still ok for your notebook.
