    Always a "run as..."

    Every program I try to start with a desktop icon opens a "run as.." window. How do I stop this or reset so that doesnt happen?  ???

      Did you get the Antivirus XP malware? It may have screwed some stuff up for you. I just did a system restore to an earlier point and everything was ok.

        thanks for the reply. i dont know. It was only a problem on one user account. deleted it and remade it, and everything is fine. so, i dont know what setting was off. viruses dont usually hit just one user account as far as I know.
