    Mouse freezing and CPU peaks when it happens.

    How do you stop the mouse freezing every few minutes and when it does the CPU shows spike. Ojas

    Errm to even stand a chance at answering that we would need to know what computer you are using (brand & model), the system specifcation (if home brew) if you know it & your operating system.

    Does the mouse and CPU stay peeked and frozen until you hard reset or just momentarily?

    It does not matter what the brand and model of your computer is. Open task manager to the Properties tab and sort on the CPU column with highest usage at the top. Next time the cpu spikes, see which process is eating the cycles and post back here.

    And you know that he is using Windows how? Task manager may not show the offending problem if it's a hardware issue. My point was that without even a vague point of reference to go on, it could be just about anything.
