bounced emails

hi everyone i need help solving a problem on my computer. i am a relative novice on these things
so if anyone answers this question, please do so in plain layman's language that i can understand.
i have tried to answer an ad on craigslist, and i have attempted to contact a business in Pa.,
and i have gotten the same message when i push the send button. the message is as follows;
the host server could not be found. please verify that you have entered the server correctly.
account; 'pop3', server"smpt", protocol smpt, port25, secure ssl no, socket error11001, error
number ox800cccod
this is driving me crazy.
i am using sprint 3g/4g system card, and when i press the send button, a window opens up
and tells me that i am using  outlook express 6
can anyone help me?

Do you use normally Outlook Express for email?  If not, how do you do email?
