You don't really have to do anything in the storage field, it should create the virtual disk in the Centos folder that you downloaded and saved and should boot just fine. Maybe you can download the OS again and open the VM Player (i assume that is what you are using) Don't open Centos from the folder, open it from the VM Player. Have you tried Ubuntu in VM? It is much better than Centos.
