Internet explorer flys off the screen when I open it.

I am running windows 7.  My computer is brand new and I cant tell you much more.  when I open explorer it flys off to the right of the screen.  when I go to the tool bar at the bottom of the screen it shows that it is open.  Help me please.

Define: "flies off the right of the screen". EXACTLY what happens?
Are there any other problems with the system?

Hi Alan,
When I open explorer it appears to vanish quickly off of the screen to the right.  When I click on the icon on the tool bar at the bottom it comes back across the screen to the icon.  If I just put the cursor on the icon it shows that it is open.  As far as I know I dont have any further problems.

Try this and see what happens:
Go to the icon you click on to open Internet Explorer. Right click on the icon, Properties, then change "run" to something other than what it's set at (ie, if it reads "maximized" change it to "normal window" or vice versa). Let us know what happens.

Also, I suggest you run a full scan of your system with BOTH your anti virus utility and MalwareBytes.
