Home Wifi going from internt to local

i don't know why this happens, but my home wireless sometimes becomes a local network and not local and internet,  so i have to restart my wireless in order to get the internet again, however, this renders others systems that use the wireless without internet connection. any help with this?

OK , so when i restart my wireless to get internet back to my wireless PC, my ipod touch becomes connected to a local connection and not an Internet connection, or my PC will get internet, but my laptop will only be able to connect to a local connection on the same network, even tho the wireless router is connected to the internet some systems can only connect locally and not have internet access.
