computer freezes randomly

My computer seems to randomly freeze especially when using IE or firefox i can hit cont, alt del i start task manager it then works fine but will do it again in a few minutes.

What are you doing when it freezes?  Have you installed any programs or done any changes to your machine?  What kind of computer is it?
