ok step by step...just to show that it can be done
1 ) log into your yahoo account on a real computer.
2 ) go to account info
3 ) go down to account settings
4 ) click on the "Set language, site, time zone"
5 ) drop down the menu for new settings and go down to Yahoo! Asia
6 ) click on finished
7 ) click accept
8 ) go to mail.yahoo.com
9 ) go into mail options
10 ) go down to POP & Forwarding
11 ) then you click on set up or edit pop and forwarding
12 ) click the pop radio button
also here are the settings you need for the phone once you get the above set up
Server Settings
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 995
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication
Account Name/Username:
[email protected]Email address:
[email protected]Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password
as i said takes a little tinkering of the account but it works.
