My error changed. Now windows 7 just can't identify the connection? i guess...

i had a similar problem that i posted about, about a week ago. what i did was uninstall the drivers to the nic and then delete the network locations.... but that was for the WiFi....idk if it will work for you

I've uninstalled and re-installed the drivers. Still no luck. I'm assuming it's best to call the ISP at this point. ggrrrr...

    Did u check network services?
    >services.msc
    and check them are start or stop.
    1-Computer browser
    2-secondary logon
    3-server
    4-work station

    anyway
    Fix Winsock Manually on Windows 7

    1. Open up the command line utility and enter:

    netsh winsock reset catalog (resets winsock entries)
    netsh int ip reset reset.log hit (resets TCP/IP stack)

    2. Reboot your PC

    I started secondary logon. rebooted. nothing was different.

    CMD told me:
