    Open/Save dialog
    « on: June 11, 2010, 04:51:44 PM »
Hi, I've been scanning my computer for spyware/viruses with a bunch of different freeware removal software, but for some reason my computer won't bring up the "Open"/"Save As" dialog. What gives?

More information please. EXACTLY what is the problem, when does it occur, and what led up to it?

It seems it just happens on random programs at different times. I think reinstalled my program which made the problem go away, but that still doesn't stop it from popping up in other programs.

It applies to File, Open. File, Save as. Save target as. Save image as (those two are browser specific, but they still lead to the same save dialog)... after I try to do it...I get an hourglass cursor....and then nothing. I move my cursor and it goes back to regular pointer cursor.

Running on 2 drives with about 5 gigs free on each.

What's the total size of each drive ? ?
If it's below 15% Free space you need to do some housekeeping for Windows to behave...
