Uninstall HP ScanJet 3500c series

Uninstalling my flatbed HP scanner 1.0 Scan Jet has caused me problems. I go to Control Panel, to uninstall the scanner, and I cannot uninstall: dialouge indicates "Internal error 2343."  and "Fatal error during installation."
How do I uninstall this Scanner?

Yes, I went through Remove Programs, but the errors came up and I could not fully Remove the program.

Remove the scanner in Device Manager 1st...then unplug it...then run Add/Remove.
