Windows box into wifi access point
« on: July 20, 2005, 03:03:36 AM »
Hey everyone.  Ive googled and googled but i cant seem to find an answer for my question.  Here is the problem:  I have a wireless card in my pc and I just bought a new laptop and playstation portible.  I know its possible to configure my desktop to act as an access point for both my laptop and psp.  Problem is i cant figure out how.  If it comes down to it I'll use a distro of linux, I just dont have the option to go out and buy a router.  I can do ad hoc mode for the laptop, but for the psp i need an access point...  Thanks for your help!

I'm thinking this can only be done in Linux. Maybe you can find more info here: http://www.live.com/wireless/unix-base-station.html
