Virus: Application cannot be executed. The file avgui.exe is infected.

It seems most programs I attempt to run get this error.

"Application cannot be executed. The file avgui.exe is infected."

Can anyone help?

• Save the file to your Desktop.
• Double-click on mss.exe
• Allow it to run, and follow the prompts.
• Once done, it will launch a log.
• Post it in your next reply.

Thanks!  I downloaded the mss.exe file to my downloads folder
then selected 'open' to run it but the MSS.exe did NOT run.

I got the same error. Application cannot be executed.  The file mss.exe is infected.

A black box did pop up but I did not see any programs launched.

Please advise...thx
