    screensaver will not start

    Does anyone know why my screensaver starts for about 2-3 seconds and then the screen goes black. it is as if there is something blocking it. I am running Windows Vista with Windows Professional Academic. Thanks for any suggestion.

    See if you have the display set to power down at about the same time the screen saver kicks in (Control Panel - Power Options)

      thankyou, I have changed the power setting to never turn off. I will let you know how it goes.

        Hi Allen,
        thank you so much you clever man. when I checked the setting it was, as you thought, set to the same time as the start time for the screen saver. :) it's now working a treat!
