Blue screen of death at Random?
« on: June 29, 2010, 11:34:04 AM »
Okay, I was signing on to computer hope, and at the same time cleaning my old browser data, like temp files, etc...

And as soon as I logged in, I got the blue screen of death..

Here's the code:

Page fault in nonpaged area

STOP Information: 0x000000050 0x0000000 C0xFFFFF8A00C235458, 0
0xFFFFF80002ED728C 0x000000001

If anybody comes up with any answers to this problem PLEASE,
Be generous and let me know. :)

Thanks, Daniel.  ;D

As the blue screen said when it came up, if this is the first time you've seen the error don't worry about it. If it happens again (after rebooting) let us know.

Blue screen error may be occured due to failure of RAM.So, You should check your RAM. Blue screen of death may also occur due to malfunction of software and hardware devices. If this problem starts with any new software or hardware installation then uninstall it.

Ignore the above post and just let us know if it happens again. A blue screen error can be caused by any number of things.

Yes the BSoD has come up again.

This time it is because of Memory Management.

At the time I was running Virtual PC and writing a Batch file in Notepad when it occured.

Luckily I wasn't too late otherwise I'd be fooled into thinking my Batch File crashed the PC.

This was the whole PC, not just Virtual PC.
I had to hard power of and gave my PC an "unpolite tap".

Now I have reset my Memory for VPC to 512 and am going to see if that does any difference.

Let me know if anything comes up, thanks!

And you said you were going to make a change in your bios to see if it makes a difference. The ball is still in your court.

It looks like possible RAM issue, but...

    Download BlueScreenView (in Zip file)
    No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.
