Problem in my Motherboard (RAM Slots)
« on: July 01, 2010, 09:34:29 AM »
I posses a computer whose config is as follows....
Motherboard :ASUS M2N-MX SE
Processor : AMD DUAL CORE 2.2Ghz
RAM ZEON 2*2 GB ,800 Mhz FSB (DDR2)
SATA 250 GB SEAGATE (HD)
Now that i hav 2*2 gb RAM in my respective two slots ,suddenly the second slot is malfunctional .Though after testing the two RAM along with Mother Board and Processor found to b in healthy Condition...Problem is when both the RAMs r placed in their slots ,the display of my computer is not comming. If i used only the 1st slot then its ok...But placing the same RAM in the 2nd slot the display problem arises...Please suggest me with some relevent solution....

If i understand your RAM issue correctly you have determined that of the 2 Ram slots available only slot 1 is working all of a sudden. Does that mean that the both of the 2 GB ram modules will BOTH function in slot one and that neither will function in slot 2? truenorth
