MS Office Home Student won't open...

When Office is openened to MS Office Word the window for Word work screen only opens to show 1/2 of the work area. Same thing occurs when I open a doc. in My Docs. I have to force a shutdown of the word page "End Now" window. Takes about 2 min. for the incomplete window to close. Power Point is behaving the same way. One Note is fine. Ran the Ofice Dig. and no errors showed. Yes, I have the product key entered and it says it is fine. Did a MS Software verification Genuine Advantage scan and it says my CD Office is authentic. Did a Syst. Res. and no joy there either. Have done an unistall (yes Office uninstalls totally and restarted, reinstalled, ran updater for Office and Windows updater. Going to install Open Office to do some work..I hope.
What to do?

Did it ever work properly or has it been like this since you first installed it? Are there any other problems with your system?

Allan, yes it has worked properly for as long as I can remember..since 2008!
Just started this behavior since i installed a Samsung phone software program called Samsung PC Studio...but that might be just coincidental. Unistalled PC Studio for Samsung unistalled reinstalled Office 2007 reinstalled and updated all MS updates for Office via Win Update and still Word window that just opens to: "M S Word noncommercial use" window shows the hour glass only. I can't enter any text as the window for word seems to be still loading. Have to click on the "X" to close window, then I get the prog. won't end, "End Now" choice. eventually it will close. Downloaded Open Office and installed. It runs fine and fast!

Uninstall MS Office and then run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml). Then reinstall Office and let's see what happens.

Just to verify, they're not connected as I have both Office and PC Studio installed with no problems so it must be something else conflicting.

The result is nothing has been helped. Same. I do get a not on reinstall of the MS updates (win. update express) that KB951944 and KB95151550 won't detect the ver. of software needed for them to run. but I do have Office Home Student 2007 software on computer.

And it is an original retail version and not a copy? If so, not sure what else I can suggest.

original retail with my product key...have always entered that and it alays gives me a green check.

Does your computer perform as well as it should when using other applications?  What are the hardware specs on it?  How large is the hard drive and how much free space do you have?

I have been taking an on-line class with Knowledge Delivery Sys. but is just typical listen via Windows Media Player and watch a video as well.

Resolved: HP printer drivers caused the "meltdown " for my Office Suite 2007.
I called MS Support and they remotely figured out the glitch.
I unistalled/reinstalled printers drivers.
Back to normal.
