I have version COD1.3 build 4511 mar 2, 2004 I am getting error 9914 potential infinite loop in script - Killing Thread

is there an update that I can download and install?

CoD1 goes up to 1.5 I think.

Yes call of duty 1 the original.  Anyway I found 1-4 on activision and I think I may have finished the game, had three Russian missions but the game just ended with another infinite loop but I figured it was the end anyway so why bother with it.  Now I have to get the newer COD's 2,3,and4 to play.

I never played the third one, went straight to 4(Modern Warfare) , then 1, 2, and then 5(World at War) then 6 (Modern warfare 2)

They are great games, especially online
