Cannot load Windows XP after intalling AVG 9.0

After installing the latest AVG antivirus on older computer with Windows XP, it says to reboot. Computer won't boot past the Windows XP screen. I tried rebooting in Safe mode and also returning to an earlier time when Windows successfully loaded, but no luck. Help!

all softwares out there will have problems for at least one person. So you can 'not' use every program in the world out there 'cuz there's going to be problems with it  .
