Antivir Solution Pro virus, can't start .exe's :(

Hi. My computer has the 'antivir solution pro' virus. I googled it to find out how to get rid of it, and most of the sites said either through malwarebytes or kill the process then delete the files. I can't do either. The virus doesn't let ANY .exes start. If I try to a message will come up saying 'cannot start (exe name).exe. The file is infected.

There are all these popups and such, it's very annoying, pleeease help me.

Here's my computer specs
Windows XP
1gb ram
pentium 4

Or, if anyone could just tell me how I can end the process, I could probably get the rest.

Part of the problem is that I can't make any logs or anything, this virus will tell me the .exe is corrupted if I try to open any programs that could make the logs :/ task manager, hijackthis, malwarebytes, nothing. Usually I can get rid of malware and such by myself, however I've never been limited like this, I just don't know what to do.

I don't really know anything about safe mode, would this help?
