Torrents have connection but browsers don't?

How come at random time's my browsers will loose internet but my torrents are still going? Basically that shows me that my torrents have internet but my browsers don't.

Any help?

Sounds like your torrents are taking up all your bandwidth.

I don't think that's the case because my torrents usually maxes out at 2Mbps down and 500Kbps up so i don't really think that 30Kbps down and 10Kbps up of torrent's is affecting it so bad to prevent my browsers to have internet at all.

First question: what do you mean when you say "lose internet"? did you look under the couch? try behind your microwave, and in your cupboards. I'm always misplacing my internet. (haha, sorry, couldn't resist).

To test the theory of bandwidth issues manually reduce your torrent speeds (both) significantly and see if it alters the browser situation.truenorth

You also could try to stop your torrents the next time it happens. If your web access comes back you have your answer....

That doesn't help either.. like i used to be able to download at 2Mbps and still be able to surf the web at impressive speeds.

Enthusiastic torrent usage, visits to certain torrent sites (including those found by Googling "[whatever] torrent") can lead, for various reasons, to malware infestations, membership of botnets, stuff like that, making your interwebs go slow or maybe vanish altogether. Upload data rate derived from the torrent client may not be the whole story. Do you use a firewall? Have you checked for malware lately?

yeah i did all that my firewall is all fine and i did a virus scan with SAS with Zero results

Yet another idea.
If you are using a router and two computers you can try this. Have one computer do only the torrents and nothing else. The other machine use for surfing the web. This might work better.  Maybe not.
