problem with floppy drive and monitor

HELLO,
I am using Windows XP. my problem is that when i function my computer, the monitor doesn't give output at first time.. so the need of switching off the main switch arises. At the second time when i function the PC twice, it starts...
AND ALSO THE FLOPPY DRIVE FAILS FOR BOOTING

Check the Power cord of the Monitor throughly & un-plug the pin-based Monitor cord behind CPU & check if all pins are intact(& not bruised or broken).

Restart the machine & see if that works for you.
