    Multiple IRP Complete Requests
    « on: July 22, 2010, 06:47:50 AM »
    Good morning,

About a month ago, my sister got a problem with her computer. It is an old Dell Dimension 3100 Desktop PC. Anyway, anytime she tries to boot the computer now, a blue screen comes up that says:

''A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer''

    MULTIPLE IRP COMPLETE REQUESTS

    **STOP 0x00000044 (0x865c9030, 0x00000d63, 0x00000000, 0x0000000)

The message suggests that the problem may be caused by new hardware or software, but my sister assured me she didn't try to install any. She just said she downloaded something out of LimeWire and then the computer went weird with messages from her Antivirus multiplying before the computer shut down.

We tried booting in safe mode, but we get the same error screen.

I have searched the Internet and most people suggest it is a problem with a driver that needs to be either downloaded or updated... but I don't know which one! Even if I knew, how I am supposed to do it without getting into Windows?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!
