Someone making changes to Wikipedia using my IP address?
    « on: July 27, 2010, 03:27:15 PM »
Someone has been using my IP address to edit wikipedia. I understand it might be a shared IP but I'm sort of worried since the user edited a page about a local hurling club which means he must live nearby.

I am on a wireless connection secure with a WPA2 password. Is there any way to find out if someone else has accessed my connection?

It could be anyone from anywhere in the world, depending on your ISP. You can contact your ISP and ask them to change your IP if you have a static IP. Also see here: http://whatismyipaddress.com/change-ip - it may or may not work.

I'm not sure if I can help you, being from Tipperary. ;D

You can try the technique in the link I posted above to change your IP. If it doesn't work you'll have to talk to your ISP.
