    Smart Start CD
    « on: July 31, 2010, 04:27:50 PM »
I found that I needed the smart start cd to install an Operating System on too my server.  Thing is that I found on Compaqs site that they only have version 5.50 an up.  I was able to boot from the 5.50 version however, its no longer working an think that I need up too version 3 cause its unable to see other wise.  Supposely, you can put them on too a floppy an config it that way but, I dont know how.

Invent a magical device that can put the contents of an entire CD onto a floppy disk, despite the latter being nearly 600 times smaller?

ummm.... thanks.   This wouldnt be the light version, not sure if you was aware.  The cd drive had died however, you can put the smart start data on too floppies an boot/setup that way.  This is mostly for server machines though, so unless you have a compaq server or something its not really going to help you.
