Overwriting an encrypted partition with an unencrypted image
    « on: August 02, 2010, 08:02:30 AM »
    Hello,
I have my two partitions on my computer: a system (C:) partition and a storage (D:) partition. C: has been encrypted using TrueCrypt. I was wondering: Would there be any adverse effects if I were to overwrite this partition with an unencrypted image, instead of decrypting the partition prior to overwriting it?

Here's an explanation on how TrueCrypt encrypts the system partition:
    Code: [Select]
    http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/?s=system-encryption
    Thanks!

I think perhaps you should uninstall/deactivate TrueCrypt first.
