Ok so I've been working on this for a few hours now with no actual luck.

I got the laptop from a family member that no longer needed it. The network controller (wireless) would always connect to my router but show as "Limited to no Connectivity" or whatever. After a couple hours of fiddling with it and updating drivers etc, I decided to just reinstall windows and start fresh since, I have no idea what was or wasn't done to the laptop.

I'm on a clean slate now and now there isn't even a network controller in the Device Manager. I used IBM's website and got the actual driver which is installed. Still, obviously if there is no network controller then I don't see how it would even function. I do however have 2 Ethernet Controllers in the Device Manager.

I guess I'm stuck, anyone that can offer advice or perhaps a solution that would be great.

It's running Windows XP at the moment.
