    Just installed XP, networking woes
    « on: August 04, 2010, 12:23:28 PM »
I recently installed XP on a computer I recently aquired from a friend. Every time I install XP, I have trouble getting it connected to the internet, the solution seems to be different every time. There is an ethernet connector on the motherboard which I am using. The Asus website doesn't seem to have anything on my motherboard, the ID is P5LD2-MQ.

Does anyone have any idea how to get this machine online?

Did you install the chipset driver?

You have to install the chipset, audio and LAN drivers.  Asus lists a P5LD2 & other variations, but no -MQ.
